Cathy's Oaks
Several George Washington Smith homes are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  If you stop in at the Foothill Road residence, you’ll understand this architect’s fame for popularizing the Spanish Colonial Revival style; and why Mr. Libbey hired him to create the “look” for Ojai’s elegant Arbolada neighborhood.  Built in 1921, “Cathy’s Oaks” was remodeled seventy years later to accommodate a family with 7 children.  Most recently, the homeowners remodeled the stately home with expert attention to authentic details and materials.  Beautifully situated on a corner lot, the property is surrounded by over an acre of authentically landscaped gardens.
