Haley Ranch
“In 1916, Roger Haley’s grandparents obtained title to the 8000-acre remainder of the huge Spanish land grant originally held by the King of Spain.”  Thus begins the story that leads to a 21st century working corriente roping cattle ranch located on what is left of the land sold to make way for the Casitas Dam water storage project.  The homestead built on the land where “Rancho Casitas” stood still holds the spirit of the Hoffman family, who re-activated the land, raised large herds of cattle and developed thoroughbred horses.  Themed art collections and the preserved bounty of hunting trips adorn the walls of this quintessential Western home.
