We’ve had many firsts in Ojai – Aaron Copland conducting for the first time in 1957. Dawn Upshaw programming her first Festival in 2011. Jeremy Denk and Steven Stucky’s first opera making its world premiere in 2014. Steven Schick, our first percussionist music director, in 2015.

These collective moments are what make Ojai an inspiring place where artists are encouraged to push their boundaries and reimagine the concert experience, and where audiences make a deep, meaningful impact on the music being performed.

As a $100 Ojai member, you will enjoy admission to our Sunrise concerts during the Festival: enthralling music performed by ICE in the beautiful setting of upper Ojai on Saturday and Morton Feldman’s mesmerizing masterpiece Rothko Chapel on Sunday.
