What to Expect

For events at Libbey Bowl, free parking is available on the streets surrounding Libbey Park and in various public lots within a two-block radius. There are public lots on Montgomery and Matilija Streets. We recommend allowing time before concerts to find parking.

For parking at off-site or year-round events, an email will be sent to you prior to the concert. Refer to the email for specific instructions on where to park. When in doubt, look for our bright green signs!

ADA Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis for vehicles displaying a DMV handicapped parking hang tag or license plate. View more details on ADA Parking below. If you need special assistance, call our box office at 805 646 2053.

WALK
Downtown Ojai is extremely walkable, with stores, restaurants, and more within a two-block radius of Libbey Bowl. Many

BIKE
The paved Ojai Bike Path runs throughout the city and all the way to Ventura. A local bike shop, The Mob Shop, offers bike rentals.

RIDE
App-based transportation services like Uber and Lyft are not prevalent or readily available in Ojai, though some people have success with pre-scheduling app-based rides. The Ojai Trolley Service can also take you around town! The Trolley runs every 30 minutes. The trolley stops near the Blue Iguana Inn, Capri, Casa Ojai, Chantico, Hummingbird Inn, Ojai Rancho Inn, and the Ojai Valley Inn. View the Trolley schedule as well as info on other public transit here.

Ojai is a casual community, and our events do not have a dress code. For the long days of the Festival, most audience members opt for something comfortable with layers appropriate for chilly mornings/evenings, and warm (sometimes hot) sunny days. Sun protection and closed-toed shoes are recommended, since most of our concerts are outdoors. Beyond that, let your personal style guide you!

There will be vendors for light snacks and beverages at our concessions zone, Greenroom in the Park. You may also bring your picnic and refreshments on the Lawn of Libbey Bowl, however no food or drink besides a water bottle are permitted in the reserved seating of Libbey Bowl, or in our off-site venues. Ojai has many excellent dining options, see our favorites here.

There is a no-alcohol policy in Libbey Park and Libbey Bowl (see more below).

Due to the City of Ojai’s policy, alcohol that is purchased at the Festival’s Green Room in the Park must be consumed in the designated restricted areas, including the Green Room and in the Lawn area of the Bowl. We appreciate that patrons do not bring beverages in the reserved seating sections of the Libbey Bowl. No outside alcohol may be brought into Festival concerts, events, or venues.

Animals or pets of any kind, with the exception of trained service dogs, are prohibited in Libbey Bowl during concerts, and at off-site concert venues. If you need care for your pet, we recommend Patapooch Pet Care for walking, feeding, and visits, and Ojai Dog Friendly for overnight boarding and daycare.

Patrons with disabilities are welcome to bring trained service animals. Service animals are dogs that meet the requirements of the American Disabilities Act. Service animals must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times and rest in the seating area of the individual with a disability excluding aisles or walkways. Please note that dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the American Disabilities Act.

Both Libbey Park and Libbey Bowl are designated non-smoking zones (including vape pens, e-cigarettes) by the City of Ojai. Smoking is also prohibited in the Festival office, donor lounge, off-campus and year-round events, and backstage.

If you lose or find an item, a lost and found box is located in the Box Office, the wooden building just north of the tennis courts at Libbey Park. Box Office staff will be able to assist you with lost and found.

Photography, audio recording, and videography are prohibited during Festival performances. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us create an environment for the artists that is not distracting.

If rain or showers are in the forecast we will announce any program or venue changes in email communications, on our website, social media platforms, and our free mobile app to our patrons. Like most outdoor venues, the concerts are expected to continue, rain or shine. Please bring what you need to keep warm and comfortable. We recommend ponchos, rain jackets, scarves and hats as the temperatures tend to dip in the evenings in the Libbey Bowl.

Exact concert lengths and start times are slightly variable and subject to change. Morning Libbey Bowl concerts are usually around one hour, and evening concerts are approximately two hours. Check your email inbox for pre-concert details either the night before or the day of each event.

Not always. Performances start at the time designated on your ticket. In deference to the comfort and listening pleasure of the audience, late-arriving patrons will not be seated while music is being performed. Latecomers are asked to wait quietly in the designated area until the first break in the program, when ushers will assist them to their seats.

Note that late seating may not be an option for all Festival events. Check your email inbox for pre-concert details either the night before or the day of each event.

Health and Safety

Absolutely! Seating for patrons with wheelchairs is available in a reserved section of Libbey Bowl. Please contact the Box Office for special seating requests. A handicapped parking lot is located on Signal Street for vehicles displaying a DMV handicapped parking hang tag or license plate. Early arrival is encouraged, as these spaces tend to fill up.

For patrons requiring a shorter walk into Libbey Bowl, a handicapped drop-off point is located near the Backstage on Signal Street. Please notify the barricade attendant and they will direct you. There is also nearby parking for the drivers of those needing assistance. For listening devices, please visit the Box Office. Public restrooms at the east end of Libbey Park are wheelchair accessible. You can always ask one of our ushers (in white shirts and black pants with a nametage) if you need assistance.

You are welcome to bring your trained service animal. Service animals, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), are dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks directly related to a person’s disability. The dog must be able to rest in the seat area of the individual with a disability, excluding aisles or walkways. Please note that any animal whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support does not qualify as a service animal under ADA regulations. We reserve the right to withhold or remove a service dog that fundamentally alters the nature of our programming by behaving in an unacceptable way during a performance, and/or if the person with the disability does not or cannot control the animal.

Pets of any kind are not allowed into any of our concert venues, including the Lawn at LIbbey Bowl.

During the Festival, masks are optional but recommended for individuals who are at increased risk for severe disease. We will have hand sanitation supplies available throughout the Festival campus. Please stay at home if you have any symptoms of illness. These guidelines are subject to change based on the advice of public health officials and conditions at the time of the Festival. Keep informed with any updates on our free Mobile App.

In the event of an emergncy at an Ojai Music Festival concert or event, alert the nearest staff member or volunteer (individuals with a lanyard and/or name tag). If you are not at an Ojai Music Festival concert or event, the nearest emergecy medical care centers are as follows:

Ojai Valley Community Hospital Emergency Room 1306 Maricopa Hwy, Ojai, CA 93023 (3 minute drive from Downtown Ojai)

Ventura Urgent Care 5725 Ralston St UNIT 101, Ventura, CA 93003 (30 minute drive from Downtown Ojai)

Tickets & Seating

You can order ticket sonline by clicking here, or by calling our box office at 805 646 2053. General hours of operation are Monday through Friday 10am to 5pm. Hours may vary during the weekend of the Festival.

Libbey Bowl Pass Holders, also known as our series subscribers, enjoy all Libbey Bowl concerts within their selection of a 2-day, 3-day, or 4-day pass. The 4-day pass also includes Ojai Talks in addition to the Libbey Bowl concerts.

Due to the more intimate nature of our beyond-the-bowl concerts and other add-ons (such as Suppers in the Park), these events need to be reserved separetly from your subscription. Luckily, subscribers get first access to sales for add-on events. Other perks of being a subscriber include fee-free exchanges, priority entry on the Lawn, and up to 20% off compared to single ticket prices.

For students, when you show your active student ID to the Box Ofice your perks include:
– 30% OFF any ticket order, any time
– RUSH TICKETS: $10 lawn, 50% OFF reserved seating when you buy tickets 30 minutes before the start of a Libbey Bowl concert
Click here for more student opportunities!

Faculty can purchase full series passes and/or single tickets at a 15% discount.

Children ages 5 and under are free on the lawn, and lawn tickets for ages 6 to 11 are $5. Students 12 and up are given entry to the Libbey Bowl reserved seating with our student discount price. We are happy to have children enjoy concerts, and we know they can become restless! The lawn area is a wonderful way to experience the Festival for littles and families. If your child needs to stretch their legs, please take them outside the venue so as not to disrupt the concert experience for other patrons. There’s a great playground adjacent to the Libbey Bowl!

All sales are final for Festival tickets and off-season events. There are no refunds or exchanges. In common with other outdoor venues, there are no refunds in case of rain or other weather events.

If you cannot use your tickets, convert them to a tax-deductible contribution to the Ojai Music Festival and its programs within at least one day before the event. Tickets received less than 24 hours in advance may still be converted. Stop by the Box Office or call our Ticket Donation Hotline at 805 646 2192.

Yes! Subscribers can exchange tickets without a fee. For single ticket buyers, there is a small exchange fee.

Since the Libbey Bowl is a small amphitheater with less than 1,000 seats, virtually all of the seats in the reserved section are relatively close to the stage with good sight lines and excellent sound. Our lawn area offers a more casual experience for those who prefer to picnic while enjoying a performance. We provide ample video screens for the lawn-goers to enjoy the concerts.

That depends on the time of the day, as well as the weather. A shade cloth is erected to cover a large portion of the audience section of Libbey Bowl, and the lawn is largely shaded by trees. We always recommend bringing a hat and sunscreen. A jacket or wrap may be needed for evening concerts.

Seating is done by our box office staff on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to donors and long-time subscribers. While sales for subscriptions begins as early as May of the previous year, the seating process for Libbey Pass holders is done in January. Single tickets go on sale in the spring. When purchasing single tickets online, you are able to select your own seat. Please contact the box office with special seating requests and assistance at 805 646 2053 or boxoffice@ojaifestival.org.

Patron Portal

In the Fall of 2023, we rolled out a new feature for our subscribers: Patron Portal. Like many other organizations, Patron Portal gives you the ability to log into your own account with Ojai Music Festival and see a detailed history of your ticket orders, donations, membership statuses, and more, such as:

  • Keep us up-to-date with changes to your information more easily
  • Receive special access to presale and occational discounts for ticketed events
  • Festival Family Donors receive special opportunities and ticket access according to giving level
  • View your seating assignment simply by logging into your portal

If you have been a subscriber since 2018 and have consented to receive email communications from the Ojai Festival, you should have received an invite to your email address on file. The email would contain instructions for setting up your account. If you don’t see the invite in your inbox, please search your spam folder. You can always contact our box office for questions.

If you forgot your password, click the “forgot password” option on the Portal login screen. Choosing this option will send you a password reset email. If you’re still having trouble, please contact the box office to reset your password.

Tickets and donations must be linked to a single person’s first and last name, not your household name.
