Gala

Combine the sultry sounds of South American music with mesmerizing songs inspired by the Mediterranean coast, and what you get is a powerful evening of fiery passion – the same passion that ignited the Ojai Valley to complete the new Libbey Bowl project.

The first part of the evening celebrates the vitality of the potent mix of cultures that collide in South America, featuring a trio of virtuosos – award-winning composer/guitarist Claudio Ragazzi, pianist Octavio Brunetti.com and accordionist Michael Ward-Bergeman.

The finale is a command performance of celebrated composer Osvaldo Golijov’s “Ayre” – the stunning song cycle hailed as “intoxicating and endlessly haunting” – with Grammy Award winners Dawn Upshaw and eighth blackbird.

After the concert, the celebration continues on the tennis courts with dessert and dancing!
