Experience the full breadth of the Ojai Music Festival
Many music festivals focus a particular genre, a variety of popular acts, or on sheer quantity.
Ojai is different
Three things set the Ojai Music Festival apart:
- Each Festival’s coherent artistic narrative
- The strong connection between listeners, artists, and Ojai
- The immersive experience
A Coherent Narrative
Inquisitive audiences return to Ojai to listen to music that connects eras, genres, and people. The immersive experience takes listeners on a curated musical adventure. The music is inspiring, sometimes challenging, but always astonishing.
This is possible because each year, a new music director carefully plans the experience. Past music directors include Igor Stravinsky, Aaron Copland, Pierre Boulez, Eighth Blackbird, Steven Schick, and most recently, Vijay Iyer – all multifaceted artists, thinkers, and performers who offer unique perspectives.
Every performance takes place at the intimate Libbey Bowl – a small performance space covered by trees and surrounded by mountain views. Because the Festival takes place in the small town of Ojai, performers, composers, and audiences interact throughout the weekend. From the time you enter Libbey Park to the time you head home, you will be welcomed like family.
The Festival is designed to take you on a musical adventure. With a Series Immersion Pass, you get to follow something that transcends a typical concert experience.
Whether you choose the 4-day, 3-day, or weekend pass, you will hear music in a new way.
