The opening night concert on Thursday, June 5, at Libbey Bowl seemed to set the mood for the entire four-day weekend with Marcos Balter’s superb, magical, energized work, Pan. The “flute opera” featured the unstoppable Music Director Claire Chase and an intergenerational ensemble of Ojai community members and Festival patrons.
